Bordeaux 09 at Lord's
Ejafjallajokull may have told Europe to kiss it’s ash during the week, but volcano or no volcano, the 2009 En Primeur show must go on.

A wine loving Gorilla
Wine is one of my favourite things. A glass with a friend or over dinner is one of the most pleasant ways to spend an evening. A bold and spicy glass of red for winter, or a gorgeous sparkler for summer, for every season and occasion there’s a glass of wine.

Melnik
A tiny village on the Bulgarian/ Greek border that hosts a couple of special wineries. Named after the white chalk soils that surrounds the village it also gives its name to the local red variety. The Melnik vines can grow only on these local soil and cannot be found elsewhere.
The hours of bus journeys and trekking up to the cellars …

I spluttered my proverbial cornflakes all over my computer screen when I caught up with Neal Martin’s latest Wine Journal exploits this morning. He was reporting on the worst tasting ever…rather proudly I might add, for such an inauspicious occasion!
As well as being the masterminds behind London’s best wine shop tasting experience, The Sampler in Islington, …

Happy Easter everyone! We’ve been pretty much overun in the office over the last week or so. Bordeaux is kicking off – what…the wines are out already? We’re beavering away on our annual wine list and getting ready for the Trade Fair in May (find out about the exciting seminar we’re hosting here). All in all…we’re pretty knackered. BUT THAT IS NO EXCUSE!!!
On the 3rd April, the world lost a little more of …
