Remember Harvest Festivals at school? Lots of tins of beans and a rousing chorus of Autumn Days? Well, we’ve been reliving the dream at Bibendum today with our Harvest Festival Tasting – only we’ve swapped the beans for bottles of wine. And we’ve cut out the hymn singing.
Personal favourites include Stonier Reserve Pinot Noir 2007 from Mornington Peninsula which walked all over a couple of big name Burgundies, Morgon Marcel Lapierre 2009 – a stunning Beaujolais from an awesome vintage – and Sijnn Red 2007 – a former B Times wine of the week.
We’ll write up some of the notes in more detail over the next few days, but in the meantime here are a few photos to whet your appetite:
